Amen to the ear-fucking of winter! From that first picture, I would swear to God you live on another planet. Mercury, maybe? You should totally move - I hear Neptune's nice this time of year.

Very pretty pictures. I was starting to wonder if you snarfed them off a news source.
I've seen this thing you call winter, but seem to have blocked it from memory. I know it's cold. It was cold here last night (we shouldn't have left the AC on so late).
I'm moving to Alaska in May from Texas from Maryland, and this is the thing that makes me not sure about it. Hopefully the whales and hot chocolate can make up for it.

Kalki - I wish I lived on Mercury. It would probably be warmer than Pittsburgh. When you're freezer warmer than your neighborhood, something's WRONG.
Lawbrat- Yeah! Suck it, Winter! Then again, if Winter is indeed an Ol' Man, maybe I don't want him to suck anything. Drink an Ensure, Winter! Dammit, not the same, eh.
MRTL - I try not to snarf pics (Great American Hero being the exception). All 4 pictures above were taken with our sorry-ass Nikon Coolpix 5200. And be careful. Alaska is some next-level Ice Age shit.

As for snow at Xmas, I've never seen it, Mateo and I go back to Cali for the holidays. Xmas = lights in palm trees. Ah...palm trees.
Tres cool snow pics. That's how I like snow: in a picture. Not on my fucking porch, my fucking walkway, my fucking driveway (can you tell I'm the one who shovels here?)...
But your pix are so pretty. Maybe if snow could just show up for picture day, and we could all run out and snap it, then it would go away...
What DID the snow do to Mateo? Did he wander off in it? Do tell...
I tried to post a comment yesterday during blogger's implosion. So here goes today. I probably shouldn't tell you (but I will anyway) that it was 90 degrees here yesterday. (It was only in the 70s today, but that makes for a less effective "nyah, nyah!")

I was just looking at the pics again, and noticed the face in the fog of that last one. Did you do that in photoshop?
The face almost fills the frame. Nose is right above Mateo's head, you can see an eye in the upper left by the fork in the tree branch, and along the right side you can see the edge of a cheek/jaw.
Does anyone else see this? Or is it just me? Maybe I need some sleep?
Dammit Ern - It's 4am and pitch black here (except for light from screen). I can't sleep and am now imagining ghosts. I need sleep, glasses and a stiff drink.

Ern and MRTL - I didn't want to say anything about the face, figuring you'd all think I was nuts...but the freaky thing is, I don't even HAVE photoshop. Eep! Spooky! Did I mention our house was built at midnight on an indian burial ground in the name of Satan?
Susie- According to Ern,MRTL and winter has a big, snowy head and he's following Mateo around, laughing at him. This would explain why Mateo doesn't like shoveling our walk...
